Marriage age is increasingly stratified by level of education ā I want to say the average marriage age for people with a college degree is like 29 or 30, while for people who didnāt go to college itās around 20 to 22 or so?
Iām 25 and other than one coworker my age, no one I was friends with in high school OR college has gotten married yet (as far as I know, maybe I just didnāt get an invite to their wedding). On the other hand, I have friends from rural, less affluent parts of my state whose classmates that didnāt go to college all got married like a few months after high school and divorced about a year after that. If youāre stuck in your shit ass small town what else are you gonna do to keep things moving?
