There’s a server I’m in with some unrelated friends where they’re very much “yeah nobody argues here we all just agree” and they’ve just kind of slowly become more and more petty about the larger community they’re associated with and now they’re like. Being assholes. And I’m doing that exact thing where I’m like okay well nobody argues or has any conflict here so I don’t want to be the one fighty person but you all are being assholes

0. senior english class (doesn’t really count because the most vocal people all ~agreed with each other besides the obvious trolls and it wasn’t really centered around political debate)

  2. school discussion channel (you would think this is reasonable especially given school context. but alas there’s the eugenics person (who was also in 1 history class i had), the rationalist/techbro person(s) and i mean i don’t think there were more particularly egregious bad take-havers

  4. UIC politics channel (was mainly that one guy saying. things about how like COVID was bad because it didn’t let him see cute girl’s faces or smth??)
