Anyways, I now harbor intense concern for the live-action Zelda film coming in 2027, if only because I know they can do amazing things with it but will likely choose not to.
[stares sadly at the Zelda scripts in my fanfiction folder]
Zelda is owned by Nintendo right? Did you see the Mario movie? Nintendo guards their IPs intensely
âŚI did not like the Mario movie, if that was your implication.
Some people donât deserve free speech
celete spoilers
beat core slide b. it was pretty fun. wish it was on average just a bit harder, but maybe i shouldnât have done farewell first
it took me around 80 minutes
I know theyâre going to get rid of everything I like about it (Link being shorter than Zelda and killing that backless dress and Gerudo outfit)
so true
I think the hard part about my writing is that I find it really hard to write comedy, especially once Iâm in a flow with writing dramatic moments.
Like, how do you write a comedic beat right on the heels of multiple very dark moments?
How do you control the tone and prevent it from nosediving?
The answer tends to be that you should refrain from really sinking your teeth into your dark moments, but I find that impulse control to be hard.
for instance, after a dramatic and heartwrenching scene, you can lighten the mood by having one of your characters say âwell that happenedâ
Something truly funny happening thatâs tragic?
Link after one of the antagonists goes on a monologue about how he laments the sacrifices he has had to make:
âCaptain, why didnât you take the cyclops out? â
âI made a mistake, I thought mercy wasâ
âTo dinnerâ
âWhatâ
âYou could have been best friendsâ
âI stabbed his eyeâ
âLove is blindâ
âare we still doing the evil speech thing? i thought that was, like, not a thing anymoreâ
Oh noooooo my impulsiveness is making me want to spend a lot of money on a graphics tablet
âŚ
time to search for one for at least an hour. sigh.
Itâs mostly the fact that I have massive creative inspiration for visual work and absolutely no fucking way to output it because my skill is shit and that makes me very very irritated
ummm⌠hes RIGHT behind me isnt he?
comedy for the audience or comedy for the characters
