I am supposed to be in 1 undergrad research lab and just writing a final report for the second one, since I didn’t finish it last semester.

The professor keeps telling me I need to do new work and new calculations he never mentioned last semester.

So I’m doing research twice apparently.

5 three-credit courses (Lies and Deceptions by the Media)
2 one-credit courses (OK these ones are not real courses it’s fair)
1 credit of official research (it is frequently five or six hours a week lol don’t believe the media)
0 credits of unofficial research (annoying professor mentioned above)

OK to be double fair:

  • 3 credits Physical Chemistry: only work is exams and extra credit homework, professor gives like 40-odd problems w/ solutions before the exam of which 10 are on the exam
  • 3 credits Medicinal Chemistry: no homework, easiest quiz I’ve ever taken, my girlfriend got 9/10 without any prior knowledge
  • 3 credits Biocatalysis: no homework, before the exams the professor gives like 20 “study questions”, of which 6 are on the exam and you only have to do 4
  • 3 credits lab course: this one does actually suck, it’s 8 hours of lab + biweekly prelabs and reports
  • 3 credits instrumental analysis: hell on earth way too much homework 71 exam average
  • 1 credit professional development seminar: lol
  • 1 credit AI in protein synthesis: just reading some papers and occasional 1 slide presentations where he says “everybody gets an A” at the end
  • 1 credit research: this is like 4-6 hours of lab a week unfortunately
  • 0 credits research: not hard just fucking annoying
