Yeah, it wrecked the entire island and eroded from the shoreline. I think in those periods before 1960 they’d just be named after cities they wrecked.

There’s a cycling list of alphabetical hurricane names whicch alternate male and female and they get retired when a hurricane is bad enough to be remembered. My friends and I were really into hurricane naming when we were 13

When Harvey came around, the main thing I remember about it was that it like nearly filled up the creek by where we live and that it kept annoying me by keeping me from playing roblox (I was like 8? at the time)

Hurricane Sandy hit my house when I was like 7 and I was really scared of bad weather at the time so I just stayed as close to the center of the house as possible so that I’d hear as little of the wind as I could

The power went out during hurricane sandy which was the only time i really had a bad power outage. had to drive to another state during the storm to obtain necessities. that was not very fun.

Once during a winter storm when I was 8 or so the power went out for weeks… we went to this cafe in the nearby city where there was power and saw my friend from school there, whichw as crazy because we didn’t live so close together
