Chose other narrow tunnel, more forks at end of passage. Lucien attempted to use torch to figure out wind flow but to no avail. Dreadwalkers appeared from the tunnels. [Due to tech issues, some passages appear to be incapable of being passed through, so DM showed correct path.] Path lead to clearing with other group on high ground. ((Ah, so this is how everything unfolded.))
Hugged Cassandre. Comforted Jocelyn who was close with Nathaniel. Informed Joshua about having four dynamites. Cassandre hugged Jocelyn in comfort. ((Shite. I am weak to Jocelyn’s tears, whether it be real or fake. There’s a certain noise that I only hear in cries, and those trigger my empathy.)) Eliza Ashvale, great emotional support for Jocelyn, brought Vaan to the girls to talk stories about Nathaniel.
Sudden thought about the deaths thus far.
Daniel’s death was negligible for anyone other than Dorothy.
Tetch’s death meant the guild’s loss of the commissar / one in charge of the mercenaries.
Turner’s death… one less guildsman as far as I’m aware.
Leopold’s death meant no more stopgap funds for the guild. (Unless Theodosia replaces that position, or gives the list of contacts to Solomon.)
Albert’s death will screw over the fort in many ways, but that’s a whole other can of worms.
Nathaniel’s death meant the loss of the first-established connection between church and guards.
Gwen’s death… means that either a new coven leader has to be chosen, or the coven would have to disband or reform.
Dang. The fort is going to suffer a lot in the next arc. Then there’s also Thorne who’s getting sent to the capital for lord knows what reason.
Vision darkens, Stiorra’s song, heavy pressure, Dane moved towards source of song, Lucien left lantern behind. Witnessed vagabond mother’s shadow approaching Branwen. He and Dane rushed towards Stiorra -who was in the middle of a runic circle- first. Most people wary of circle. Solomon called Dr.Robin to check up on her.
Better than me forgetting I did the Wordle and still taking 4 guesses to do it.

Stiorra lost a leg and despaired due to the failed ritual. Sir Tom could not pray in that room because of whatever Stiorra did. Comforted Stiorra ft. Cassandra. [Small tech issue.] Group walked ahead, Eliza behind, two-headed giant monster appeared. Eliza fired shots at it and followed others climbing (more like, walking) up the circular platforming. Roland protected Eliza and Dr. Robin while going up. Lost backpack, went back down, got it back from Lucien.
Gave dynamite to Dominguez, lit it had Dominguez throw it at the giant. He threw poorly and the stick landed nearby allies… ((Oof…)) Gave another to Carmine who went off without lighting it. Lighted one on her own, giant approached, threw dynamite, saved by Daisy, mildly frustrated that the stick didn’t go boom immediately. Stick went boom on giant.
Solomon asked for dynamite, and pointed out about the stalactites above the giant. Accidentally lit one prematurely, NEARLY killed everyone above, but instead it hit directly on top of the giant with basically no time delay. ((GODLY SAVE.)) Two dynamites blew off and dropped the stalactites. …n? DM talk? No, this is… god’s talk?

It was just people talking to each other via text. Occassional image, but almost fully back-and-forth conversational thread. It felt like sitting with your pals at a coffee shop, hanging out, and anyone could hop in
I feel like this new trend of posting results from wordle-adjacent games, as well as blog posting about stuff nobody responds to, kind of kills the conversation. Maybe not “kill”, maybe too strong of a word, but its kind of jarring to have to scroll through it all the time to read what ppl are actually saying, like the interesting stuff, about their lives, or reading ppl’ jokes. It feels less fun than before, to me

a new thread, cookie-adjacent ver 2.0, thats aimed just for conversation, like old school cookie, no wordle / clues by sam / fermi questions / twitch stream roleplay episodes summaries. Basically “pls dont post stuff ppl dont know how to respond to, try to keep the vibe chatty!”. And keep this cookie thread as a general chat with no direction, as it is

Admittedly, I don’t think that’d solve the underlying problem of “people don’t really post here that much anymore”. Like, imo, people posting the games doesn’t cause them to not talk about their lives.

I think as a whole, the site’s just less active than it used to be. Probably a multitude of reasons for it, but a lot of people who used to be here consistently just aren’t anymore, and that’s not really something we could address with a separate thread for the games.

Uh… Nobody else seemed to hear the god’s talk. Chat assumed it was Réos. He called Eliza the daughter of fire and ruin.
Excerpts and comments
Child of Marrow and Storm? (The boss monster?) “My light…” Is that Réos or the Father? “Not shattered, but tempered.” I think that’s Réos. “The wind holds its breath for you.” Not Aeos, but that was obvious. “You were never meant to kneel before the dark. You were meant to cough through it.” Ah, so this god is talking about Gedna. (So WTF is happening with that god and the boss monster? What are their relationships?) “Do not pray for strength; you are strength. Do not beg for hope; you are its architect.” (And then daughter of fire and ruin… Wait, so Eliza does have a relation to Réos?) ((Well duh. She sees the blue fire.))
Boss disappeared. People above could not hear what the baker and his wife (of the past) were talking about. Asked Cassandre and Lucien if they had heard about it. Asked Stiorra but she was busy. Checked up on Sir Tom (long before his adrenaline ran out), pushed him towards the doctor. Stiorra asked for help of every girl to purify boss drop.
Dane and Solomon seemed to have heard Onar’s fury, which blew away their fear and caused them to act immediately. Stiorra surprised Eliza present for Stiorra. Dane joined, Stiorra can slap him all she wants when they are back at the fort. Cassandra fell over, it seemed that she got hit in the head at some point.
Meanwhile...
Dane confronted to Stiorra about his emotions. Eliza internally disapproved. Branwen openly disapproved.
Doctor immediately brought over to her, but he was ordered to prioritize some above others. Rue found one last tonic at the bottom of her bag and saved Cassandra. Downside: Cassandra deaf on her right ear.

List of POVs and Episodes
Rue noticed (ft. DM) that Tom was bleeding out, and called for Dr. Robin to come help. Cassandra mentioned about leaving fort after this. (Unsure whether that was a joke or for real.) Joshua grew up with Cassandra, old friends. Went to Dane’s group, who were talking about Lucien either getting a scar or losing an arm. (Joke about how all guards Lucien knew either got a scar to the face or lost an arm.)
Talked with Stiorra, who got supported by Gwen, about how to get out, suggestion: Dynamites. Eliza’s got two of them. DM pause, map became negative. ((Special POV? 
)) Eliza had to choose whom to save between Gwen and Stiorra. She chose Stiorra (blue fire was behind her before Eliza chose her); Gwen fell into the earth. Emotional distress. Passageway opened, leading outside. ((Oh wow, yeah. Eliza did choose Stiorra partially because she would’ve had less odds of surviving considering she had one foot less than Gwen.)) Exited cave.
Expedition was to find Stiorra, and Eliza believed Gwen could make it out alive.
Hm… Probably: 10, 7, 2, 6.
I’m gonna do a quick check on Dr. Robin’s POV to watch Eliza’s dynamite throw.
