in the security tab of your FoL account it tells you the location of recent log-ins to your account, including city name
how do you circumvent this if you want to utilize a shared hosting account for hosting games?

its mandatory to have a co-host to host games. its nice (but not mandatory) to use a shared account - so they can also post vote counts. using a VPN is needed for optimal hosting on FoL? that seems odd to me

Wait until you find out it was only until recently the site admins changed it so your IP wasn’t exposed as well and only your city name…

pretty much the solutions are either VPN or only give access to someone you trust

if possible, i’d like to extend this request to not just hosting accounts
for instance: i want to hydra with a player i’m not particularly close with. i’d like to not have to use a VPN, and i’d like to not necessarily trust them with my location
scenario 2: i’m signing up for an anonymous game on FoL. the host makes the accounts and hands them to players. as soon as i receive mine, me and the host are de facto exchanging our locations (if we wanted to look)
