Hiding Recently Used Devices in Security Settings

Suggestion from tutuu

Host accounts now automatically have their devices/locations hidden when they are given host permissions.
Additionally, people sharing an account can request to have them hidden by contacting a mod.

We’ve added a note to make people aware this is an option:

didn’t take me a year!!!

some funny quip relating to this feature, potentially jabbing at Chloe or perhaps joking about no longer being able to abuse this oversight

You still probably can if you’re quick enough

it’s not an oversight

there is absolutely no directly-identifying PII available through this part of the user dashboard

you can only get a general region and device type

we are however willing to hide that information for some users now that it has been specifically requested

Huh my security page tracks me down to my city

This isn’t true. Your exact city name isn’t general region. Not everyone lives in huge cities with hundreds of thousands of people. The smaller your city is the easier it would be to identify you

the smaller your city the less likely it is that an IP will be pinged there

like check the logins from my hometown

I do not live even all that close to Melvindale :joy_cat:
