also i just binged the show jury duty and like. wow. when will TV people stop trying the whole “lets just fucking do the truman show” thing

it was like a 7.6/10 show, the actors were forced to be way too scripted when by far the best moments were just The Guy chillin out ngl.

spoilers: The Truman reveal clearly fucked with this man hard and made him really sad and kinda brought all the light out of the show. Like the concept actually kinda worked, the whole “we have these really wacky characters in stupid situations, and then The Guy actually bonds with them regardless and is really nice to them despite it all and its kinda heartwarming”. But then they reveal it was all fake and you see everything kinda crumble for this guy where he’s like “oh damn the past 17 days of friendships I’ve made are just fake and the personal growth in the people around me was decided by a bunch of writers”. And its like. Yeah that would suck wouldn’t it. And he’s a good sport but he’s clearly so fucked up by it.
