tbf i do think the dark flame / knight of despair interaction probably could’ve been easily at least partially corrected without even changing the mechanical effect by just specifying that dark flame kills “unless healed” and that adding additional text that the blessing protects from non-strongman deaths
(which works in-flavor because the blessing in the actual game iirc makes you extra vulnerable to pale damage anyways, which is basically strongman damage)
which can subtly lead players into deducing that the dark flame is not, in fact ,strongman, and can therefore, in fact, be healed by the blessing
idt it would have actually changed what happened given gocj took it instantly but still
