i was publicly very unhappy with the role but i wouldnt like pretend to be nbowie to say that
also as someone who tried, no, town literally couldnât have lol
wolves were gonna carry a lot of water for alexa, i mean i got ~strongmanned n1 for basically only my alexa read + vague spking
flood reference
honestly that game really made me understand why achro would play on fol so much, i feel like its not even that the wolves are any easier to catch between sites but that the town is more willing to listen
tbf game size / site lag / 12/12 had a lot to do with it too and when the game got down to FAM numbers people started listening to (town aligned) townleaders more
my money would currently be on tutuu
is that because you actually believe tutuu is capable of composing such things and lying about it, or because you want to embarrass the person by claiming itâs her to them
wouldnât you like to know, weather girl
edit
the timezone is a bit wack for tutuu but i thought tutuuâs immediate disavowal of it was wolfy. however, your response was also a bit wolfy, and you were around, but you would have been tryharding to make it look like Not You in that moment and it didnât seem like sort of thing youâd tryhard about
ya anni is just kind of a unique beast in this sense. its why whenever someone described 2025 anni village as lacking in organization/messy/disorganized or some such i was like. are you fuckin kidding? this is anni this is an insane feat of organization
the lag also seemed like a really bad impact on this and it was def particularly bad this year i think unfortunately
youâre welcome to believe as you wish.
Marissa was never a serious consideration though because 1) she would say it to my face and 2) I think she would have been funnier with it
yah i think anni 25 spoiled me, although I saw genuine flashes of it in anni 26, post-alexa town reallllllly started getting their shit together. anni 25 wasnât going particularly well for village until benneh died too
lots of people iâd never heard of and a few I had stepped up, I was super impressed with lategame town in anni 26, which is probably going to get drowned out in, well, the flood + the fact that wolves won but like idk they rlly started cooking
which is also I think what makes me so upset about the flood role, not to like harp on it too much but idk, I can just imagine how crushing it would be for those endgame villagers because it seemed like they had a real fighting chance, momentum was on villa side, I remember how excited I was that time last year in that same position
again not a comment on, like, kpn balance or anything its just like I feel for the people who were in a townleader position and primed for a very high stakes and fun day where they had the reins, that comes very rarely
yeah there was definitely an upswing in it late this year, i think its partially why the arso situation felt so bad - village was genuinely pulling back ground and did not know how behind they were/how close to losing (sidenote i dunno how much this got seen cause i never really got into it in thread postgame only dvc postgame but i DO feel in retrospect that we should have had more like. cuing/indications of it existing, and i understand why the rug pull of losing that way felt pretty bad to people)
25 was like. very very good in this sense on d2 and then it took a bit of a drop for a chunk of time when the d2 village leaders counterbalancing bens influence died
the broad overhead difference in the flow of the two games is that 25 could sustain the part ben controlled because of d2 basically iâd say, and 26 didnât really have any period of real semblance of village control idt until d4 (this is possibly an oversimplification i slept thru a lot of the days but its p much my understanding). 25 went: contested village control â wolf control â village control. 26 went: wolf control â village control â contested village control?
relevant xpost
i do think that like even in terms of raw visible numbers the village was slightly overestimating how much ground they had currently regained, but the momentum was still looking pretty viable for sure and yeah i 100% get this. thinking about how it felt made me think of the one anni year (2023? feels longer ago but its definitely not any of the earlier ones) when village suddenly lost to like 8 kills bc the wolves had 3 anticlaim kills with it being a sharp divergence from normal to do so and no real cuing of such
like itâs true that if the arso didnât exist the entire gamestate would be altered and while the ripples are fundamental and massive and not projectable really the village would be behind in a different way most likely but they would know their position more and the dynamic around it would feel and be different
a shift from âcurrently winningâ to âcurrently losingâ is allowed, as is a shift from âlosingâ to âlostâ. âcurrently winningâ to âlostâ is bleh.
it was 26v10 they were neutral at best
i was simplifying!!!
