my role had comeback mechanics hinged on mafia’s percentage of the alive playerlist and also tay’s a spreadsheet goddess so we were acutely aware of the ratio at all times. even in our worst moments we were never meaningfully below rand
i agree
i would say that they were absolutely not “currently winning” (and tbc i mean in an arsoless world where the role literally just did not exist they were still mildly behind in terms of the gamestate and numbers etc) but moreso “in a position where they weren’t wildly far off being able to pull ahead if things kept going well”
which i do agree regardless is pretty feels bad to lose from without much indication/cuing it was possible
town getting 7 wolves in a row in d4 ita1 was the bare minimum they needed to salvage things after the mess alexa made and it still only brought the wolf ratio from ~31% to ~rand
town would’ve currently been winning if they were given an arso with ten non-aligned douses. it’s just not fair!
yeah that ita session was more “kept them itg at all” than “pulled them ahead”
for context i would say that i felt town had like 10% live odds before that session and maybe 30% after. roughly speaking. obviously this is kinda made up numbers but you get the idea
technically they wouldnt be winning theyd have won. there was ten live wolves
well we did have a meme firefighter
idr who we targeted with it but we might’ve saved a wolf or two from the counterflood
true
i think like. i dont even remember. it deactivated n3+ cause blobfish (nbowie role) died lol
annilexa → violet so nope gg
dawg what were we doing
town wasn’t winning, but the like classic mash lategame dynamic of “wolves are starting to be boxed in by mech, but town is losing people capable to punish them” was hitting wolves way harder because town had a bunch of people step up into very strong leader positions
wolves pick worst firefighter targets of all time, asked to die to the counterflood
if another person tells me this i’m going to rip out someone’s tongue and feed it to a wild animal
idk i assume yall thought it was 99% a meme action (which it basically was, it was mostly there to make claiming having one of those activated actions not potentially clearing + so i could make the joke about gray being able to give neil a raw onion to distract it from firefighting)
you live in the uk i dont think they have wild animals its all like farm animals or urban areas
well it was a meme action given there wasn’t a town arsonist. but if there was…
true yall didnt know for sure smh
also tangentially related, like. meme firefighters are i feel common enough to make “firefighteer exists” not enough of a signal for town to think there has to be an arso
i’m not going to continue threatening marissa b. williams in 23456th poster gets a cookie (cookie thread (Part 7)) (Part 11) i don’t think
the last non-mash game i really paid attention to (astand’s game) had a meme firefighter infact
