“oh do you know whats a fun role to add? a role that actively makes you stop playing the game for mechanical benefit of someone “better” playing it for you!!!”

i’m ~fine with bodyguards as an optional part of a role but if your main role part is dying for someone else that is Lame and Bad

anni in general i think suffered a lot from roles whose parameters were not clearly defined and thus resulted in a lot of midgame discourse. the factional anticlaim wasn’t listed as strongman in the role that enabled it but it was in the description of the factional ability

“If” describes a condition. “If {some thing} is true, then {do this other thing}.” When we staple that onto a kill, it would first apply the killing effect, and then immediately check and process the conditional clause. So in our example of this bonus being granted even if the target was protected by a doctor that doesn’t stop all kills, we can’t really say if they’d get the bonus or not because the condition has to be true at that exact moment. “When”, “Whenever”, and “At” describe the event for a trigger, and the action in question creates that trigger upon resolution. Triggers like that are not technically not checked in my system until all actions have resolved, so we can create that trigger whenever, and then at the end of resolution go back and see if the event fired.

Literally no one knows or gives it shit about that, but me. It’s just a thing so I can effectively make an objective ruling on a mechanics question if an edge case comes up.

Wait. Every single time a wolf fires at somebody who isnt’ consensus? This is, okay first of all subjective, hosts have to debate every case, and they have to debate it for potentially DOZENS of cases??? For FIVE PERCENT EXTRA ITA??? WTF???

i probably will even but the tldr would be “i vaguely agree and the issue was sort of me” but don’t let lissa see that im blaming myself especially when you’re citing a role he wrote

five percent per

in general the powerwolf role had a lot of noob trap abilities that were like auraful but unlikely to actually do anything

one of its other abilities gave a pretty major ita boost to a wolf who ate a lot of ita shots and ended up as the counterwagon to a town exe and like. it’s cool it’s flavorful but also there are these things called town vigs and town dayvigs and other such roles and it’s very very unlikely that a wolf in such a position lives to fire an ita shot

Well the role is bad and you should feel bad.

i feel weird

I know it’s 5% per, but it’s 5% per host argument is my point

i don’t think it’s bad to have noob trap abilities per se but like. i guess it’s flavor accurate because powerwolfing in anni can only get you so far

I removed abilities that would result in even 1 host argument per cycle, and that was in a much smaller game
