I like making semi-vanilla games like those two because it lets me more tightly control the range of role interactions availableā¦ plus itās less work for a similar payoff.
Unfortunately, I made a genuinely terrible moderror in the Ruina game, I forgot to give someone feedback which led to a role being unprovable which led to a misexecution.

As for meā¦ Itās funny, actually. āI make whatever I want to make,ā disregarding the amount of work future!me has to do. I am lazy, yet when it comes to hostingā¦ all work is worth seeing my setup being run.
ā¦it (i.e., my thought process) is odd, actually. If you I think about it hard enough, then Iām making and hosting setups for the sake of creating and realizing fun concepts, rather than for the sake of seeing my roles be used, or seeing how the playersā use them.
As for controlā¦ clearly I do not do enough research on that department, as evident by Deck of Cards, where one of the players found a loophole (besides the huge mod-error) due to RAW rather than RAI.
I mean designing work ā thereās just fewer roles to make per lmao

I think Living the Dream would be a bit better if you had more control over the specifics of island lingo. It feels a bit weird how you can change multiple aspects about most things you create (i.e. its general mood), but the only thing you can adjust about your island lingo is its pronounciation.
Itād be nice if you could adjust a few things about it, such as how often it is brought up and the general opinion on it, as well as specific residentsā feelings towards it and how often they bring it up.
For instance, the term āblowing shit upā should probably be more favored and used by Demoman than Toriel, who would probably be a bit more averse towards it.
MatPat should be more likely to mention FNaF lore than anyone else.
The Radio probably shouldnāt be bringing up modding Balatro as often as Jimbo or myself.

Yeahā¦ I did think of making a setup with some VTs and Goons as well, but then I quickly got bored and irritated by how barren it feels. Maybe the me from 2024 could be content with less impressive roles, but the me from 2025 onwards simply cannot stand Standard setups.

The sound out of them were comparable to my AKG ones btw so they werenāt even an upgrade honestly they were a sidegrade
