Chance could be different abilities based on chance, instead of the chance being “just” the ability not working by random chance.
Like wild magic or something similar.

Might.
I have this show fully downloaded bc I saw edits on tiktok and it made me want to watch it
Uhhhhhh
I guess I’ll put the first episode on
Isn’t that always true for any ability?
The chance I am referring to is a straight-up “your ability has a 1 in X chance of working”, which is… kinda bad? It’s lackluster compared to the other uncertainties.
You would think so, but in practice… In practice I highly doubt everyone would play as chaotically as Ranta did in FAM6. (She was claiming all over the place.)
People still didn’t KNOW his ability.
They only had the information, he shared with them, which isn’t equivalent with KNOWing an ability.
Yes. That is the part I praise about Ranta.
I don’t think anyone else will do what she did; I think the average FoL’er will just openclaim for real and ignore anti-claim mechanics.
That’s a bad ability.
Especially if they don’t get feedback, if their ability worked or not.
Sry, I misspoke.
It’s a bad modifier…
Yeah, I agree that it’s a bad ability/modifier. However, ultimately, [that] is a form of uncertainty.
I am not saying it is a good type of uncertainty, but it is a type that I managed to find. A type that I am not satisfied with, but also a type I am considering whether it is worth using or not for a new setup.
Well.
Thereis Tracker. (Which has a chance of not working, if they select someone not visiting)
Does it count as a chance ability?
There is an inverse solution.
You have a 1 in Xcnahe that an ability targeting you doesn’t work.
Wouldn’t that be still considered a “chance” ability?
Negative.
“Not Visiting” is ultimately a feedback, and if the Tracker were to learn that feedback, then their ability ultimately succeeded.
The only times when a normal Tracker fails would be if they were blocked or redirected.
Applying “chance” to Tracker would be… Well. That’s a spoiler for another type of uncertainty, I suppose. Sorry, but I don’t think I should continue talking on this matter. No more previews.
Ooh~ That is a good idea, yes!
(Ultimately, that passive trait falls under “chance”, but it is better than the active version I had in mind!)
I had a dream where among other things i was presumably sick with weird dream magic sickness & then today it turns out my brother is sick.
he tried to use his dream magic to make you sick but you deflected it with your innate magic
