Like we don’t get to see much of the other characters being affected by… everything with Jax, because it’s not allowed to happen or be revealed until the finale, the way they come to terms with everything feels rushed and barebones.

In general, the plot felt insufficiently driven forward by Events in a way that made it feel lind of messy and did a disservice IMO. Obviously you can do cool postmodern storytelling where there isn’t a strong plot structure, but I didn’t feel the characters were at all compellingly written enough to pull it off

I do agree pretty much fully with this
The show felt very rushed towards the last few episodes when it really didnt have to be? It kinda felt like they wanted to keep things mysterious and then went “oh wait we have to answer questions” and then did that all in the last two episodes

Also like. If kinger is fine in the dark, and his little pillow fort is dark… why didnt he think of putting a bucket over his head sooner? Why didnt he just like, close his eyes. I didnt get that part

I still enjoyed it
And i like my happy(ish) endings
But like
I do feel like it couldve been a lot better
It either needed more episodes or more forethought with what was going to happen

Yeah I think it was kinda… I described it as patterned off of video game lore, and video games have weird plot structures because of limitations of the medium. But there were no such limitstions here!

Also I found Caine unsatisfying as a character, felt like him being an AI was invoked in such a way that made his character arc feel inhuman and ungrounded while also trying to give him a human and grounded character arc? And a lot of his stuff again felt like theorybait

OK also if I made TADC and it turned out to be TADC I Would not be able to resist saying the word Transgender onscreen like for real

yeah i found that super weird
Also like, him being AI was shown as this big reveal but its like… yeah duh? We knew this? And also they cant decide if he has emotions or if hes just an AI working towards a specific goal, and then he removes the other ai he absorbed and it isnt explained at all hoe thats actually affecting him? Felt very confused with caine

I think something with the overall plot synopsis of TADC (as given by a transgender person, not by a theory video maker) could be quite good but as executed it got distracted and didn’t really land

I think even if trying to be a YA show it kind of patterns itself off of a lot of children’s media in a way that does it a disservice

But if not for the theorybait stuff it wouldn’t be popular and thus I wouldn’t have watched it lmao

I just mean like I never woulda even heard of it probably. There’s probably tons of great transgender stories out there that I’ve never heard of cause they didn’t get picked up by The Entire Internet

I like how the “probably” leaves room for the possibility that no one has ever written a good transgender story

Uncertainties… How do I get more uncertainties?
So far I only have eight, and even one of them feels rather cheap. I want around thirteen to fifteen to satisfy my quota, but these concept don’t come out of nowhere…

…should I perhaps just duplicate the ones I already have?

Flip a coin, if you should duplicate them or not…

It’s an uncertanity of uncertanities…

“Indescribable” will eventually be defined as long as there are rules to the system. Chance on the other hand… I guess it is also a cheap form of uncertainty. I just don’t think people like using abilities that isn’t 100% guaranteed to work (under normal circumstances).

Intent and motive are similar, yet different. For the former, one doubts what the content are. For the latter, one doubts why it is them that was chosen. “What will you give and take” vs “Why was I chosen”. The former is more ambiguous, but the recipient roughly knows the identity of the sender.

“Information Hazard”
The less people know, the more one benefits.
