An interesting psychological fact is that speaking while revealing your palms influences the listener to find you more trustworthy and open. Politicians and even some youtubers do this

Another similar trick is holding the microphone with your left hand, even if youre right handed. Obama does this iirc, im sure others know about it too. The idea here is that when people watch you holding it in your left hand, since theyre standing opposite of you, their brain still registers is as on the right (since its their right). This subconsciously influences the brain to think it’s being held in the right hand. Most of the population is right handed. People feel a sense of comfort when they see that, because they imagine themselves doing it, and a sense of discomfort when they see the opposite. This sense of comfort can be associated with you
