Lmao what an embarassing boomer class from this description. Its like corporate cringe but not for your job but for school

it’s well-intentioned but it’s like. state program largely unadapted. I’m sure it’s doing wonders on the middle schoolers.

This is reminding me of the abstinence-only health class I took in 7th grade where they gave us a booklet to fill out during class, and I got in trouble for getting bored and filling out the full thing early.

shoutout to my abstinence only theo teacher who said that it was morally wrong for teenage guys to have sex with teenage girls because guys were ā€œin their primeā€ but women didn’t hit it until they were 30

yes, she was 30. yes, this means that by her logic it’s totally fine for two dudes to go at it. I don’t know what she was thinking

So how long until she got hit with a scandal?

She left the school shortly after but I dont think it was for that. She was fine asf tho like damn girl you are in your prime

this is not the most concerning implication of what she’s teaching

Theology classes (in schools) are unheard of here which im happy about. Id have lost my mind

it’s mostly a private school thing; as far as public schools go we’re nominally in favor of separation of church and state so they have to at least pretend not to proselytize

Thats cool. I didnt know marissa went to a private school. Or is it coz shes from texas that public schools are like that?

she went to a private school but also texas public schools are more liable to be ā€œlike thatā€ than in the average state

I don’t think this is the case, but I grew up in a very Indian suburb and have mainly lived in giant melting pot cities, so maybe I just haven’t been exposed to it.

when someone says the word ā€œamericanā€ theres very different images that you can imagine. when someone says ā€œnorwegianā€ for example much less
