I would simply not in both situations

The former violates my preference for clean waters, the latter violates that I have assured, and thus essentially promised, that the data is confidential

what i’m learning is that everybody besides tutuu is probably not bribeable but i’ll probably never know since i forgot to turn poll results on

To be fair

If I was a poor, desperate situation, my likelihood of corruption shoots way up

But there very much needs to be a “I have no other option” kind of deal

And doesn’t even get into minor amounts of corruption and the habit forming that could result

I look at my phone while driving way more often than I should.

It’s definitely a nuanced situation, and while I like to say that I’m not bribable, I know well enough that everyone has a price, it’s just that the price isn’t always monetary, and it could be a negative effect that I’m trying to avoid that causes the scales to tip

im not dw, i am on the ace spectrum bc i am demiromantic/demisexual

this would depend on the amount of data I have, whose data it is, and the amoutn of money ofc. assuming i have a fair amount of data (hundreds but not thousands) and know the people who it belongs to, it would likely take somewhere in the hundreds for me to reveal that, since i did promise but also if someone wants to pay that much to know they can know and maybe a love will blossom there (me and my partner got together after someone snitched I had a crush on them, so it can def work out!)

total: $300-400~

idk why big oil would like, be like “PLEAAAASE LET US DUMP OIL IN THERE” but assuming they are

prob in the hundreds of thousands? id also want to look into the cost tho of vacating all (or most) the fish from the lake, as tbh i prob wouldnt let people fish in a lake if I owned it lmao. id want that covered plus a good amount of money for myself. and assuming a negotiation like this would be ongoing, id want like hundreds of thousands a year for myself + the upfront cost of moving the ecosystem (which is a LOT easier said then done)

total: upfront cost of moving fish + $200,000 a year for myself to lease lake out to Big Oil

tbh im thinking i might be even Lower depending on the people involved and how I know them, down to “free”, but maybe this is why I shouldn’t be in charge of something like that :joy_wolf:
bc like. what if they have crushes on eachother. thats so cute. id WANT to tell them

There’s some amount of “There’s nothing one person can do to stop that, might as well accept the job”

This falls under the “I would sell my soul for a corn chip” side of my corruptibility
