There are some characters that are liked, some that are not. Everyone has their opinions.
Although disliking Gundham is definitely rarer.
My controversial takes are that I like Hiyoko and don’t like Kyoko nor Sonia.

it’s not hot but it’s lukewarm, i think she was pretty hated at first but has since been critically reevaluated
she’s like. fine i dunno. i kinda hope 2x2 does more with her but there’s at least 5 other characters i want 2x2 to do more with
I’m just waiting to see what they will do with Twogami, I think Peko is kind of a given. Hiyoko’s development was badly cut off by her death so I mean I’m hoping that she can be brought up to her full potential.
Also maybe hot takes Sonia and Chiaki bored me so bad. Sonia’s SK potential went nowhere, potentially can be brought back up in 2x2. I really did want to like the gamer, she felt more like a plot device than a character which I guess is also technically true in the literal sense, but 3 didn’t help that either.

if they dropped another SK that would have been so dumb, imo even alluding to such in the first place was too silly tbh and I think 2-2 was no better for that angle
while I think this is true specifically relating to 2-5 i think id be hard-pressed to say this is true about the earlier cases

It’s just like. They didn’t feel real. Which okay fine for Chiaki was half the point. But, they served as plot devices and were integrated heavily into the plot. I appreciate character intelligence! I love seeing them help out in class trials… it’s just that, outside of it, I feel no serious connection or motivation to FTE either, if that makes sense?
