i mean ill grant this (thank you totally necessary CGs) but I didn’t personally like the character that much so I guess that happening never felt like a personal attack :P

i just fundamentally dont think “evil mastermind who has trapped people in a death game plays sides and sets people up to fail” is an automatic drawback, i suppose
no part of this was ever sold as being a truly fair contest and i dont think it needs to be fair to be interesting

i initially disliked her as well for obvious reasons but the more i thought about it the more i found it both easy and meaningful to sympathize with her which makes the whole twist about it much more of a gut punch

i think if you dig into the themes of danganronpa’s characters it has things to say about the cycle of abuse and those things are things that i do not agree with nor appreciate

ykw. fair take. banger voice acting, less banger of a character. i was soooo excited for an ult writer but uhhh did n’t go well
dr1’s voice acting is incredible it is 100% the highlight of the game for me
…fwiw i think if this was my personal arc with the character id like 2-3 even more lol
okay but thats just a certified fun time
she’s not a better person or anything but she is way more fun to watch do her silly antics than toko could possibly hope to ever achieve

lowkey the voice acting does a lot for these games
the fucking ibuki “pointing!” voice line is just so silly and fun and gets me every time even though i don’t like her all that much otherwise
some of the line delivery from sonia in particular really helped sell me on the character there as well
lots of great voice acting moments tbh
