giab is currently working on an incremental game instead of chapter 3 so it’ll be a good long while before then
at least a few years
there’s still chapter 2 and frostborn wrath, plus the steam collection got qol changes and a performance upgrade so now your gems aren’t frame capped i think
Thanks.
I haven’t even considered to check the publisher’s site.
Somehow I always thought they were part of kongregate… (the two ads always played side by side, anytime I booted up gemcraft… I never put together that they are two different teams.)
I WAS KILLED BEFORE THE EXECUTION FOR DAY 1!
FAM6 if Ishmael died instantly:
i did! town won!
Did Youtube change how they decide top comments?
Something’s really off about things.

I can believe it. People crashed out over OP Wolf Leader in Anni 22.
I got really into binding of isaac and it reminded me of the old tboi mad17er I can finally understand it
erm my bad
to solve the issue of spks in mashes simplifying gameplay too quickly and leaving the game without guidance they should do a 50 player leviathan game
cant get nightkilled or daykilled if the wolves have literally no kill power
im so smart
as for how we make the game, uh, still happen without the driving force of the night kills? i don’t know we’ll give the villagers fucking Old Balloonist and see if that helps
if i was consistently killed n1 in mashes id hate them tbh. Honestly maybe I only like mashes bc my semi retirement takes me off of peoples radars. I got n1d (usually storngmanned) in like every fol mash before my yearlong break in 2022-2023. And I didnt care that much for mashes then.
felt especially bad getting a good role. I feel like nobody should be actively upset they randed a fun or useful role because it means it wont be used and will hurt town to have on your slot.
the problem is that there’s like, a WIFOM-based mechanism that makes strong player kills a lot less of a “you are percieved to be competent and ergo you don’t get to play the game” in regular games because in even like, a 20 player game it’s much more reasonable that a player would have threatening opinions on the gamestate as a whole
mashes have comical levels of social complexity that it is impossible to deal with in the timeframe they’re played in, and whenever you ask a player to deal with huge amounts of unparseable complexity they just go out of their way to use as simple of a stratagem as possible. lot easier than actually trying to calculate the best n1s in a mash and probably coming to a list that’s like 2 names different
i’m a lot more experienced of a game designer now thanks to my adventures in clocktower and my chipping away at a murder mystery interactive novel in the background. i still don’t know how to make this problem less intractable
