tl;dr
when I was in undergrad, I went to a board game night for a club I was in, which Arjun was also in
around a year later, I was on Twitter, and I saw him posting about a cool gimmick for a mafia game he was planning to run. I decided to sign up. the game was extremely poorly run, but gummy invited me to join in Quizbowlcord games more broadly
meanwhile, I (+ other FoLers who got recruited for Quizbowlcord games) recruited some Quizbowlcord members back to FoL
people from Quizbowlcord sometimes tell stories about Arjun, due to his unique (this is a euphemism for âbadâ) game design philosophy
