anyway since coming to Purdue I haven’t heard anything worse than “women are just genetically less good at math” (from high school engineering class, to my face) YET so

  • i was taking differential equations and linear algebra as a senior at the time, which no one has ever done before at my high school

it’s not a zero-sum game

advocating for yourself or groups you care about doesn’t exclude others who have it worse

and a rising tide may not always lift all boats, but it sure can make it easier for others to float up as well
