Its worth mentioning if there is any amount of skin in front of me for a prolonged period of time my brain tells me to bite it, like no matter what
I also impulsively bite my fingernails off (and the skin around my fingernails). Like I literally cannot resist. I was nearly constantly wearing a mask for like a week and managed to not bite them but eventually I couldnt help it and nibbled them off 1 by 1

i think this is the natural state of all being. every bird i have ever had has had some inclination towards biting things until they are destroyed. my current lad is super introverted and hates trying new things. he didnt like treats when we got him. what he does love? ripping up paper. anything made out of wood? he will slowly drill away at it until it is gone. There is like this bundle of sticks thats like a dental toy for dogs and we’ve had to buy two of them because he will break apart and tear away each and every stick until he cant stand on it anymore

ive been meaning to buy myself chewable dog toys to help wiht this but havent gotten around to it
there are like, chewable fidget toys as well, but they all have a bad shape/texture. I just want a plastic dog bone tbh

do be careful with Chewables. chewables can cause strain and fuck with your jaw health. i say this as someone who has to be extra careful with that (im not supposed to chew gum even) but i imagine its a bigger note with things like that
