in the broader context of the republic, ‘Socrates’ says that people ought to be confined by their own jobs & would not then need to do anything else, which includes really most things about democracy (‘Socrates’ doesn’t really like democracy), so then if it’s wrong for somebody to be misinformed on these narratives that is (generally) going to be the biggest issue for guardians/philosophers/kings (interchangeable-ish i think)
