Its definitely alignment indicative, killing a teammate that is on 1 hp is a valid strategy, but randomly blasting them at the start when you could have blasted the sheriff instead isnt playing to win. The sheriff needs to have their resources expended, if nobody shoots him then he just sits back and keeps everyone on low hp
There are lots of gun cards that give you reach you dont need to kill ur own teammates
Deputy and renegade are the ones who start randomly blasting non-sheriff because theyre guaranteed to not hit a teammate (in 6 player 3v2v1)
You dont need to attack on round 1 as outlaw you can just sit back
The outlaws do need to make the first move because sheriff and deputy and renegade are incentivized to randomly start hitting people
Sheriff usually hits his neighbors on round 1
When played optimally the game is very straightforward and theres not much social deduction (assuming everyone on the table is playing in a way to maximize chances to win). If people arent playing optimally then you can employ social deduction to figure out whos making mistakes. I love the game in terms of being a card game, there is so much things you can do with your choices with your cards. And the RNG is enjoyable to me
