truth nuke

I never understood why (straight) people are hated on yaoi especially, when they are absolutely fine with yuri… so those people aren’t homophpbes.

if girl on girl action is fine, why you hate guy on guy action?

and this comes from the ace person… (Although, when I first went into this debate, I wasn’t really clear on my sexuality, so probably that played into my not understanding this.)

also it’s not a man or woman thing…

when it came up, almost everyone (both guys and girls at that time) agreed yuri is fine, while yaoi is just bad.
I was almost the only outliner.

easier to fetishize two women than two men

but why?

I tried to read both yaoi and yuri…
Beside the point I didn’t like either particulary, there are/were very good authors on both fronts.

i dont like either as like a social concept

its very “opposite gender fetishizing the others same sex relationships” which i guess is fine in private but i dont fw it as like a thing to take pride in even if you’re not the opposite gender

Also recently I realized I never read or heard of an ace romance story before this.

And even in the current story I’m reading it wasn’t the ace romance the original selling point either. Just 500 chapters in they drop the bomb, by the way the protag is an ace (it was more or less told into the protag’s face, that she is very likely asexual, so she just learned it that point as well), and a few chapter later she accepts and reciprocate her best friend’s crush on her. There were clues from chapter 1 on the sexuality part, but I thought the protag was just dense and not an ace (well, later it becomes obvious, that she is still mostly dense, so the two trait doesn’t clearly exclude each other).

And now the story turned into a half fantasy / half ace romance mix.

So… I still never read a pure ace romance story, I guess.

Seriously, how does Wisdom get mislunched? Am I just able to decode Wisdom’s alignment, when no one else can?

I think youre conflating homophobia (which im pretty sure is common in Hungary) with ppls general sentment (online, where theyre usually less homophobic). Men irl are homophobic towards gay men and generally less towards lesbian women due to fetishization. Women tend to be less homophobic

Also the words yaoi and yuri can mean different things depending on context. In western context it can be used synonymously for gay men and gay women. It doesn’t even need to be japanese media which is the origin of the word. In Japanese context, yuri is lesbian romance, yaoi is specifically hypersexual gay men media, they use the phrase BL (Boy’s Love) instead to sway away from those connotatiosn and mean just gay romance

hi guy here

idea of dating a guy is mega unappealing so a story about two guys dating is mega unappealing

idea of dating a girl is not mega unappealing so a story about two girls dating is not mega unappealing

it really is that simple for a lot of us

I hate those people.
Just because some people on top are “very” focal about being homophobes, people tend to believe the country is… (and just because I can’t relate myself to gays sexually, I am still not homophobe. I had quite a few homo friends, and it was never a problem.)

Also, I think I was pretty clear I’m unclear about the general sentiment (on yuri is good, yaoi is bad), not on homophobia in general. (homophobes I at least somewhat understand, even if I don’t agree with them.)

I mean the extreme definition on both. (It doesn’t have to be just japanese media.)

I’m very fine with BL, GL (girl’s love), Also with harem and reverse harem stories. The occasional sex scene I can accept. But if the story is just about over the top R-18 (even if it’s hetero…) stuff, without any rhyme or reason, that’s just too much for me.

Legends say that saying good night to Silviu more often increases the chances of a cookie and snatches it away from that cookie witch named Molly

Yeah, this one at least I understand. But you are very wrong. This isn’t really this simple, even for most guys I was talking with. You would be surprised how few people would come up with this argument (even among guys), if asked.

Yeah, this one is a way more common reaction, even when I was talking about only written stuff, without pictures.
(or the most common argument, that the act involving two dingdong is just impossible to imagine.)
I just don’t understand, why both parties having tits is a (commonly accepted) turn on, but both parties having something between the legs has to be such a turn off…
