30000th poster gets a cookie (cookie thread (Part 7)) (Part 10)

What if the Aurora Borealis actually appears at this time of year, at this time of day, at this part of the country, localised entirely in one’s kitchen?

I don’t know what was happening now 40 years ago but there would be like a satanic panic per season. Daycare, Pokemon, DnD, name what else

Whenever strangers refer to me in third person they always say “this boy” instead of “this mister” or “this person” (localized from bulgarian) :confounded:

the tip to cooking is dont portion shit like it’s a science experiment. just find a recipe online and follow it loosely. reccomended is get a friend to join you, make it an activity rather than a chore. this way if it sucks you won’t feel like you’ve wasted time and you can order takeout after

i have no idea what a meal kit is so i assume its an american thing and i ignore that part of the question

portioning wont save you if youre bad, the problem is lack of dexterity and/or experience
it might even demotivate if you buy a thing for cooking that (i assume) is more experience than just going to the store but stil fail anyway
just do it raw with the boys

I’m old enough to remember when floppy disks were used, instead of USB drives.

If FoL were a school. I’d easily be in the oldest class, there’s no contest.

i wager most of the people here have at least a faint memory of that

I seem to remember floppy disks were a thing mostly in the 1990s.

Maybe early 2000s.
