wait till you hear about the atari

You stragely skipped CDs and DVDs. Those were the most useful thing before internet and downloading became the mainstream.

I used to have laptops with CD-reader. Now, if I want to use a CD I have to get a whole seperate docking system…

But If I really want to, I’m almost certain I could find somewhere a floppy disk I have used anno.

oh right floppy disks were a more than 13y ago whoops

I don’t remember what a floppy disk was :older_man:

okay so imagine a disk but its really prone to flopping

You know.

The image most old games using for saving data. (Same are still using, since it’s meaning is quite obvious.)

That’s a floppy disk. (Or an image of a floppy disk, if we want to be more specific.)

Oh and it looks like total commander still using it as their profile…

its the thing you feed into the machine in white knuckle so it shows you a cult leader’s face from 1997 pixelated

I miss CDs. Now I just have the old CD player that is half broken and I’m too scared to play the CDs lest i break it and the CDs are also getting a bit patchy.

Poor boomernated, so old so wrinkly so fast and you didn’t even properly accomodated to the uni environment.

you know there’s something fascinating about hiding things

see when you do so it makes any info revealed stick out in people’s mind more

doesn’t make it anymore interesting really but
you remember it easier

Like the way Atlas hides her wallet when I visit her
