when i was 5-10 i like, couldnt do that. my parents would buy me toys and i just wouldnt wanna play with them. getting DEEP into fandoms and learning a ton about them was my outlet for creativity

my parents tbf also did not play/read/talk with me either so maybe thats the bigger issue there LMAO

I would really be deep into those minecraft RPs, they were over the top but it was like the greatest thing to me at the time.

i think kids just have different needs
as a kid i loved video games and loved the freedom and fun that provided. i still do but ive also found other outlets. playing with toys or stuf flike that never gave me that outlet and i always felt bad bc my parents were wasting money buying like, ninjago legos, that i knew id never even play with (and i didnt even like ninjago or watch it)

yeah you were into fandoms thats your problem
implies you were already deep inside into internet culture at a young age

i wouldnt give a kid internet access until they are 11 atleast. they arent missing out on anything important. unless they get socially ostracized or something for not knowing the latest skibi toilet season but kids are generally gonna befriend eachother over nothing so it’s not even a problem

I would quite picture RPs with me and the toys. I would make them do turn-based combat and imagining what abilities they would have.
