I think I’m having this problem right now. But I think there’s a way for it, you could also spend some time on the computer but also stop computering to do your hobbies.

I’ve heard from Doctor K that if you want to do good habits that cause you displeasure, being on the internet as soon as you wake up makes it worse for you to not get it started as early because you have the doses of dopamine you have in the moment and it feels horrible to divorce yourself from that.
But that’s supposedly gets better with time. I do have the ambition to learn at least 3 days before an exam, more than half of my high school classmates do not :skull:.

Do they do well on the exam because it’s only a skill issue if not

I think I’d feel a horrible sentiment of depressive isolation to be put in a place with people that vaguely doesn’t want to be my friends or having to bear them with absolutely no alternatives and having no safe space of self-expression.

yea exactly

that sounds logical yeah
ive noticed days i dont go on my phone im in a better mood overall and a lot more relaxed
like if i start the day doing some chores compared to starting the day cheking my phone

They did pass… but not with high grade that would be sufficient to make you beat competition to join universities.

I know that technology use can make your mood worse, but I’m not sure how exactly. There’s also that if you spend more time in the sun, it makes you happier because it gives you some chemical to push gloom away. Or if you do enough physical exercise to the point it gives you a runner’s high.

I mean, I really got into the Internet in 9th grade, but that was the point when I had, like, zero friends, and I’m not certain what I’d have done if I hadn’t really jumped in.

and if you’re retired its reccomended actually cause it’s just dangerous for you , you probably end up buying something dumb or get paranoia from reading some clickbait article about the world ending online
