Rambling about 'anomalies'.
Unstable reality. Cause and effect still apply, but some details -big or small- may be altered at any point in the timeline. The narrative ensures the majority of the events are unchanged, but this anomaly is the devil in the details. Or rather, the lack thereof.
Unlike the infinite void anomaly that could process the perceivable reality and recreate parts thereof, this anomaly creates new reality from the unperceivable reality. So now youâre stuck between a rock and a hard place. If you record every miniscule detail of your chronicles, then you would be feeding data to the infinite void, but if you leave details behind, then the mastermind anomaly would create new enemies from the gaps of those information.
Desynchronized timeline. Have you ever heard of the twin paradox? A pair of twins were separated at birth, where one of the twins was thrown into space and came back many years later, only to see their twin sibling much older than themselves. That is not a paradox; thatâs time dilatation. However, before time dilatation was explained to the public, people did not understand this phenomena. And this anomaly has been living ever since that time period.
Taking roots into the confusion of the masses, the desync anomaly is a phenomena where some individuals nearby â â â may suddenly disappear, only to find themselves return into the future. While the people affected were unharmed, their disappearance did leave distress to the ones close to them. It has yet to be researched if this anomaly could be utilized to perserve great minds into a time period where technology has progressed.
False hydra. An anomaly whose body resembles that of the Greek mythical creature bearing the same name. (Minus the false part.) Its many heads sing lullabies to its prey, causing it to be unnoticed. The only time it stops singing is when it is eating. Otherwise their heads take turns singing their lullabies. Originally, people eaten by this anomaly are supposed to be forgotten by everyone, leaving behind traces of someone-who-once-was. However the anomaly, perhaps due to it being newborn, only affects the minds of those who has ever listened to its lullabies.
Something else noteworthy about this anomaly is that whoever listen to its lullaby for half a day tend to have their mind wander around, gazing at nothing, and being unresponsive to any stimuli. Whenever one encounters people like these, it is recommemded to leave them alone until they return to normal. It is still unknown whether this ailment would disappear upon the extermination of the false hydra anomaly.
âMoon anomaly. The reflection. Ruler of spirits and dreams. The other side; the mirror world.â These are all words that can be used to described this anomaly. It is a high-rank anomaly reigning over other anomalies related to aspects similar to its own.
These anomalies include -but are not limited to- (1) an anomaly that uses the reflection of people inside an elevator in â â â to play rock-paper-scissors, able to steal the life of its victims while entrapping said victims in the mirror world; (2) an anomaly that attacks people in their dreams, mentally disabling parts it injured in the dream world; (3) a malignant doppelgänger that explodes upon meeting its true counterpart; (4) a mirror that -when covered in humid condensation- tells people to die in writing; (5) an abstract anomaly that lures people into entering a train heading towards a ghost station; (6) an anomaly that infiltrates any form of non-direct communication e.g., voice calls, text messages, handwritten letters; (7) a shopping district in â â â , far away from any civilization, handling in supernatural goods at night, before disappearing -along with anyone âaliveâ- at sunrise.

Humanity. While they tend to be the prey anomalies, from another perspective they also hold the potential to be âthe anomaly of anomaliesâ. While there may be ânatural born anomaliesâ, I do not believe that most anomalies would even exist without the imagination that humanity possesses.
