scout’s french and it doesnt help him
oh okay that
he’s french by genes but (presumably) not by birthplace
i believe france is jus sanguinis, primarily, and also allows for jus soli if you’re there when you’re around sixteen?
ash would know better, he studies french law
How did Atlas know I just got out of my law class…?
you dont want the answer to that question
yo i just got a recommended video out of literally nowhere in my youtube feed simply entitled “AMV” and it’s from 18 years ago
Jus soli is used by the Americas while the rest just uses Jus sanguinis.
Praise be
not entirely but largely yes
Therefore, use that Irish advantage girl before it gets too late
thats a bit more complicated
here’s a fun fact
i don’t have Lebanese citizenship, despite being predominantly Lebanese (50%)
I mean, I don’t have Indian citizenship despite both my parents being from India.
Do have an OCI card (Overseas Citizen of India), but that’s a misnomer: it’s more a long-term visa than actual citizenship.
is it because you weren’t born there?
i don’t have citizenship because my mom’s the Lebanese parent and she’s a woman
:)
Not really. India doesn’t have birthright citizenship - you have citizenship if your parents are citizens - but although my parents were both citizens at the time, I would have to renounce my American citizenship to become an Indian citizen.
In the same vein, both my parents renounced their Indian citizenship when they became naturalized roughly ten years ago.
