some common misconceptions i often see, with a pattern:

  1. people saying they will never die, and that they especially will not die whilst other people shall. they will one day die

i suppose so.

Sometimes I do stumble upon the covers that looks like it might not be for me and it turns to be much deeper beyond the first impression.

Though I do think this concept of understanding more beneath the surface needs a better phrase then that, I think I saw too many “don’t judge a book by it’s cover” by Dhar Mann and the lesson is way too on the nose.

don’t judge a book by its cover. Instead flip to a random page, and judge the book by the first word your eyes land on

When I see that being used, I feel it refers more to behavior that is malignant, like the blue whale challenge being taken seriously or devious licks.
