Some common misconceptions that I see often and I see a pattern:

people pointing out bits of plastic (for example a knife cutting at a plastic chopping board, or a picture of plastic garbage) and calling it microplastics. It’s not microplastic, it’s macroplastic. If you can see it with your eyes it’s macroplastic. Microplastic is microscopic and invisible to the naked eye
