Gay woman and lesbian have the same amount of syllables.
So the issue isn’t lesbian, it’s the fact that gay man is already 2 syllables, which is a fair bit more restricting.
Plus, again, I am kinda lazy and don’t like the idea of trying to invent a new word.

Chimpanzees are so violent
On the other hand gorillas are very peaceful. They are starving their entire lives because they eat grass and have huge bodies and muscles that need energy. They try to intimidate threats and not fight, because if they fight, the energy expenditure might be fatal
sometimes i think about how every day i probably interact with someone who think they could beat a chimpanzee one on one
clearly they have not watched nope. chimps will eat your entire face off
