There is too much going on in my life to play a mafia game at the moment, but I would like to design another. I was in the process of designing another ten-player game some time ago, and thought to pick it back up, but I am finding the low playercount to be restrictive, so I wanted to solicit some feedback.
Are ten-player games something that are of particular interest design-wise, or are higher playercount games preferable? I tend to find myself enjoying games with three or more wolves more than two, but ten players gives flexibility for the game filling that can be valuable. Would a game being for ten players make you more or less likely to join it?
higher playercount games are generally better ,but less likely to fill imo
11 player games can function just fine as well, while leaving a bit more room
This is the dilemma. I am aware of this tradeoff. I suppose I more intend to probe about personal feelings: is the difference especially influential on whether or not you in particular will join a game?
not to me, personally, but joining a game that feels like it has no chance of filling can certainly be discouraging to me
10p games are less likely to fall victim to this
This makes sense. Thank you.
By that logic, 5-6p games are best
