Okay, so when a Klutz picks right you have a “confirmed player”. Great. Awesome. However, without a Klutz, you can just pretend: take that player and say “if they’re a wolf we just lose” and you achieve the same effect. Except without mechlocking.

but like, in practice, you can’t actually force yourself / the group to believe that kind of thing for the whole game

one singular confirmed player (who is probably the most townread player anyway cause as klutz you’re not trying to hell mary a confirmed) doesn’t mean much in a 12p game

The Klutz has no strict mechanical benefit to the village. The social benefit only exists if people are stupid.
