this is probably easier than our last assignment tbf
I lost points on:
1e. Not explicitly mentioning that the mapping was infinity-to-one because of the periodicity of sine, instead stating that it was due to the periodicity of the angle on the ellipse, which is what fucking “sine” means
1g. ???
2c. Writing my formula as w=1/2i * ( ln(sqrt(1/3)) + i * arctan(sqrt(3)/3)) instead of distributing out the fraction (I lost all points for having a correct answer because of this)
2d. They said my branch cut intersected the real axis but it didn’t? And I didn’t explicitly mention I chose the branch cut to not intersect the real axis, I just did it
I didn’t explicitly state I chose n_1=n_2 so we’d get the right ifnal value for f(sqrt(3)) (even though I did do this correctly
I didn’t restate those definitions at the end
2f. I wrote (1/2i) * ln (1/3) instead of ln(3)/2 * i
2g. I didn’t explicitly justify why a specific thing had the value of the smallest modulus because it was the exact same as an earlier part of the problem
2h. They didn’t like my visualisation of a Riemann surface (it is exactly the same as the ones on Wikipedia)
