they tried to have us learn a language in middle/high school and it didn’t really work

my best attempt at saying the above in spanish would be like:
En la escuela, aprendemos Español pero es dificil

but that just. doesn’t mean the same thing at all :joy_cat: (it should mean “in school we learn spanish but it was difficult”) (I forgot all the verb tense etc)
