in my experience that tends to be true of crunchy songs (this is part of why I need more of them)

The rest of the album it’s on is also ~reasonable but not as much

though in this case the jan misali song initially sounded really good and then became worse on replaying it

I found it initially started good and then sounded worse after a couple replays and then sounded BETTER after I started looping it going insane, but it was good in the way that cheetos are good, I don’t want to keep eating them but I gotta

specifically the dissonance became just dissonant and not good

not, like, super bad, but kinda something that gets [blocked out / ignored] to some degree? maybe it’s that I was no longer actively listening to it

Non-May-type music I can like on listen 1 but if I hear it more than once I get homicidal because there’s not enough to grap onto and it slips through my head. The more instruments and abrasiveness a song has the longer it takes to wear smooth

skipped to middle and no
not crunchy

Middle is slightly crunchy to me by my definition and I suspect this is the thing my definition has that yours doesn’t

How did I partially throw up liquid in my mouth which proceeded to with zero input launch itself back down my throat

That was so freaky

For reference I drank soda

It went woodh up my throat and back down

Right at start has a bit more of it. Lots of ABBA songs do. I think it’s minor key

Thanks for clarifying

Needed people to know that it wasn’t me throwing up partially and that liquid being it

yeah
my definition is almost entirely about the pitches because rather than being an organically made term it was ~defined to me ~“dissonant notes”
