We did do homomorphisms and isomorphisms

and uhhhhhhhhh

  • basic things (what is a group, what is a subgroup, order of a group/element, cosets)
  • Langrange’s theorem
  • Cyclic groups (a bunch of nice theorems/properties)
  • Fundamental theorem of abelian groups (just stated, not proven)
  • Normal subgroups, and the (might be the wrong term) natural homomorphism from a group onto the group of cosets associated with the normal subgroup
  • various other vocab things (Abelian, uhhhhhhh probably others)

there might be more I’m forgetting but off the top of my head this is mostly what we covered

at the end we touched on rings very briefly but not really
