He’s going easy on you, given the circumstances you’re in. You were supposed to give a summary and listen to the prosecution’s as well, but he let you side-step that.

Prosecution calls the first witness too.

(Thank lord for the lenience, because there is no summary to be given from me; I lack the information required to form the minimal summary… :sob: )

“Don’t worry. I’m digging my own grave,” Arius mumbled to himself in negativity, before letting things proceed. He then looked at the witness.

"Does the prosecution wish to… He leaves it as an open question. He’s not supposed to do that.

“The prosecution would like to give a summary of the case, for the defense’s sake, your honor.” Violetta shakes a bit. She’s excited.

“The defense concurs,” Arius replied, defeated.

Violetta gives a smile, and nods. "The defendant, Mortia T. Mouse, was seen entering a building by two seperate witnesses. Shortly there-after, a fire followed. The forensic investigator for this case found that there was two separate causes for a flame; one from a curtain of some sort falling on a lit gasoline stove, and a portable gas heater being left on the couch, and exploded. This concludes that it was not an accident.

“The house belonged to Albert Marscapone. Several weapons and remnants of cocaine were found, but nobody was hurt. About sixty thousand dollars was lost.” I’m starting to get the feeling this Albert guy wasn’t a stand up businessman.

“The prosecution would like to call their first witness.” Violetta waits for your response.

“Hold it. I have one question for the defendant, but that can wait. What cannot wait is: how did a portable gas heater suddenly explode?” Arius asked, totally confused.

“More specifically, how did the conclusion arrive that the portable gas heater had exploded? And how did that conclusion lead to the conclusion that this was not an accident?”

“The prosecution suspects sabotage to ensure it would destruct.” Violetta answers.

“I have… more questions from that answer, but I suppose those can wait. The defendant would like to hear the testimony from the first witness as well.”

“What little remained clearly held that it was turned on. With it and the stove, this was at best criminal negligence.”

Violetta begins to whisper to the man standing next to her.

"The defense would like to call Slyi- Violetta coughs “Sincred Amellion to the stand!”

A tall man in medical clothwear steps to the stand, giving a friendly glance to somebody before adopting a patient-friendly countenance.

“Please describe to the court what you saw shortly before the house was set on fire, Sincred.” Violetta looks a bit… off. Nervous.
