“The heater was on full blast and pressed into the couch. It’s impossible to miss.”
“Right… I also just realized something. Would it be possible to call in the first witness, Mr. Sincred Amellion back to the stand?”
“The prosecution has yet to cross-examine the defendant.”
“Which I wish to do.”
Judge is waiting to see if you have any more questions.
“My apologies. I have no further questions for the defendant for the time being.”
Violetta turns towards Mortia. “You said ‘The heater was on full blast and pressed into the couch. It’s impossible to miss.’.” Violetta quotes.
She raises her hand to her chin. “If so, why didn’t you turn it off?”

“…Cause I didn’t want to?”
Hey, the court is murmuring again!
“The prosecution has no more questions for the defendant, at this moment.”
Sincred re-takes the stand.
“Do you remember when the prosecution asked you whether you saw anyone else enter the house?”
He nods.
“Why did you not mention ‘Tally’, the second witness?”
“I asked ‘if he saw anyone enter the house before her, or left the house without him seeing them enter’. That would not account for someone who entered the house after her, and exited with her.”
“The prosecution will not speak out of turn. This is the time for the defense to cross-examine the witness.” The judge states.
Sincred mumbles something about ‘what Viola said’.
“Wait, so the second witness came out with the defendant?”
“The police… took them out together.”
So she does brief her witnesses.
