besides the meta point I don’t really find ‘not being more cautious around players who have snowed her as wolf’ that compelling because in my experience it’s kind of a 50/50 depending on how well you can differentiate it in your head, dia in particular reads more like a paranoia about them rather than a coherent factor in the reads, in that sense it makes sense to not be thinking of it in the moment. Neighborhoods in particular are prone to making people look towny as either alignment really especially for somebody who doesn’t do reads

this is (mostly) not to say that i think carbon’s towny, her d2 has certainly fallen off (but also she’s one of the people i’m most interested in hearing from right now besides ‘oh no things are bad’ (and I think theat first point does get to a central focus about it’)

i however have been fiercely rotating this post in my mind because I just don’t think it functions as a defense, there’s any number of reasons that could lead you to want to want the gamestate to be like that, some of which could be working behind the scenes but it also makes you look good & sets up two MLs as opposed to just one. The only reason you wouldn’t really is if you’re paired with dia, it’s kind of reckless there in a way that despite the double vote it isn’t really otherwise because carbon isn’t generally prone to push back
