Alright, in conjunction with most of Arctic’s early posts asking questions but not following up on those responses with what he thought they meant, I took the May example to mean he was pushing agenda, to get those questions answered and in the Town consciousness.

but every game I brainwash myself into thinking I’ve gotten better and fake confidence in my reads until I’m actually confident in them only to find out they’re wrong so then I choose to only selectively remember the reads that I got right or when I was close to being right and then sign up for another game

Ask May about the Eliza case. Get May to answer it and get May to commit to it. Distance by townreading Eliza and scumreading May; when this didn’t work, drop Eliza in readlist. Try to set up V/V wagons.

That’s about it, thanks for putting it better than I could. It happened in Love Is War, it happened in GOAT^2, it probably happened in Morbtainado but I haven’t reread that game, it’s probably happened over times. Getting Town to kill Town is the Mafia dream.

The extent of Arctic’s argument was “Eliza’s usually more vocal as Mafia, and you’re suspecting her for being sparse”, which I construed as “go ahead May, find other arguments to suspect Eliza”.
And then Arctic took the opportunity to drop the townread on Eliza once you made your case, without really interacting with your read.

fwiw, the reason i started to suspect eliza and townread arete was due to arete’s post on eliza being in commentary mode. for arete, i find it unlikely wolf them would have had the thought to change gear mid-seth argument and call out eliza for being in commentary mode while they were trying to leverage a push on seth (considering that eliza had also just voted seth at this point) so i think it indicates they have a malleable view of the game. for eliza, well. i just agreed with the post lol

I wasn’t sure, I wanted an explanation to try to narrow it down

(unfortunately the explanation essentially boils down to ‘May has had or claims to have had very different experiences with Zorvo from mine’ which is pretty much impossible to verify)
