rogue is so fucking strong
Rogue ironically ended up as flat out negative utility in a number of testing games
Observing this game if Gummy was able to pay more attention to the thread than she was able to I don’t think Rogue… does anything
i think its more of the idea of rogue being a possibility that makes it strong.
evil just in the long run should aim to never use their bluffs straight away which kinda gives more room for evil to slip.
its the fact its useful to town when its not even in the game is why it makes it strong.
idk i have only seen one example of it tho
if gummy did nothing d1 and paid attention d2, in that exact situation, yes
Now I won’t deny it is strong, but it can be counterplayed
Needs a really lie heavy environment tho
but i rather guessed either what happened here wouldve happened or gummy being forced to bluff something d1 and then getting vanquished by may doubleclaiming them
not saying it should be changed or nerfed.
just saying its really strong XD
Fair
Funny enough though I buffed the guy for this game (before it would get its cover blown if any of the in-play characters died. This normally resulted in evil learning their bluffs are bad on Night 2 like. Every game?)
lunatic/rogue would be disgusting
and i really wanna see a script with this
The eodinai is frothing at the mouth
genuninly would be an awesome set up change for a rogue omg
i dont think i ever understood the scope of the eodinai till like after this game.
I think eodinai tends to be a character you need to see to realize “holy shit so thats what it does”
…and also so you can then, as evil, pull the most ridiculous bluffs imaginable.
genuinely curious to play this script again.
if it is redone somewhere ping me and would be happy to join
Eodinai looks like the “ST is having fun” one, and to be fair, I’ve seen games turn into disasters because of that, but for me all of the Demons are the one I have fun running. Even you, Novomane, I guess.
that game was so fucking funny lmao
yeah you’d be surprised. There’s another version of Rogue that only gives evil a ping after a while and I’ve played a game where good just fully lost because of that. Switching out of a claim isn’t that suspicious (esp since good isn’t rushing to claim), knowing 3 in play good characters is quite strong, and having the entire evil team in what are essentially Invest pings isn’t that bad? I think most Rogue games I figured out it was a Rogue game, but iirc it’s winrate is about 50/50 and I haven’t seen an evil team just…not take the bluffs early game.
oh for certain. I think almost everyone at apoc (or at the very least, me) would rather a Curacao that encourages lying enough to make Rogue work rather than a Curacao without Rogue. I could go either way on it giving a ping tho, it makes it less powerful but evil usually shouldn’t need a ping to solve for Rogue tbh. In this game, with Misty’s public claim and Carbo dying n2 evil would’ve had strong reason to believe Rogue at around the same stage in the game ping or no
