i feel as though the entire utility of alchemist boffin is knowing which ability the demon has

Except the Demon doesn’t have to learn a bluff, and the Demon would know that the Boffin would be claiming that role if it wasn’t Alchemist so the Demon would never claim it.

the Demon necessarily learns a bluff from the Boffin, that’s what I meant. Also, no the Demon kinda has to claim some of the viable Boffin abilities to make use of them lol

The Alchemist Boffin giving the Demon the Virgin ability without learning about it is an Outsider, though.

Learning about it is a sandbag because then the Demon needs to play around it.

like i can see the 5% scenario that virgin would be alright. but for the one who has no ability other then confirmation

It’s also just more interesting as a Minion bluff if the character would learn about it?

“The Demon has an ability but I don’t know which one” just sorta sits there passively.

one of the how to play tips is basically just “relish in a confirmed virgin confirmed nightwatchman confirmed golem f3”

I feel like the wiki does not do a good job showing where Boffin actually works in a script

I don’t want my Demon confirmed as a Virgin I want my Zombuul to kill with a Lycanthrope ability

Alchemist Boffin could make the Demon poor man Jurgen Leitner if both learned which ability!

Instead it’s just worse Crime Fighter because which abilities are realistically so bad that the Demon would be critically affected by its existence? Zealot? Butler? Those really aren’t that bad.
