BOTC/BOTF Discussion Thread 2

Atheist and Amnesiac rapidly approaching your location

registering spy as a good character to the boffin to get my zombuul virgin confirmed

you can do anything with them surely they’re perfect :upside_down_face:

If you have to point out Atheist and Amnesiac what-ifs to justify an experimental character you’re doing it wrong.
Also Atheist doesn’t even work because Boffin counts the setup as ability, apparently.

(before you ask, they ruled Boffin Atheist doesn’t delete evils)

okay i think its actually pretty cool with like. savant.

I’m not justifying Boffin i was just complaining about it earlier :sob:

or fisherman

using boffin amne to turn my demon into a zombuul (part of the amne ability specifies that it continues to exist past the boffin’s death)

then again you can just make them evil but the only way to guarantee that is with bh

So like, does “demon” mean every demon, and if so, does that mean a fang gu who jumps to an outsider have their ability (banshee, PD for examples) and then the new demon also has an ability or what

it means one living demon to my utter dismay

but a fang gu jumping would trigger on death abilities

think its every one of them and they can or can not have an unique ability

dont quote me

So they have the banshee announcement and then just don’t have the banshee ability(???)

in other news check out my Boffin script that I did not poach nope

they do as long as the Boffin is alive because bullshit

So banshee and other “On-death” role just work and have the new demon have an ability too or does the new ability just get fuck all

New demon*

the new demon can get the same or a different ability yes

If Alchemist Boffin granted the Atheist or Amnesiac ability as it is, with the caveat that the Alchemist learned which ability was granted, you could just use that ability to lie about which one was given anyway so it doesn’t especially matter.

I do think, all other things being equal though, the jinx makes the interaction broadly worse than if it didn’t exist.

Individual abilities might work better if the Alchemist can’t learn about them, but it also cripples which variety of abilities can realistically be given as a wider whole.

Atlas pointed out Fisherman and Savant. This is one such example.
